CBOA presents the following awards each season.
Doug Cassie Professional Development Award
Goes to the college or University Level Official that demonstrates dedication and commitment to their own development and improvement. An exam mark exceeding provincial standards, regular attendance at camps, clinics and opportunities for development. Significant growth and capacity to officiate at a higher level, and demonstrates professionalism to officiating and the game of basketball.

Roger Takaoka Rookie of the Year Award
Goes to the first year official or returning official that did not previously complete a full season. The official must have an exam score that exceeds provincial standards, commitment to the CBOA, demonstrates significant potential as a future CBOA official and professionalism to officiating and the game of basketball.

Ken Runquist Love of the Game Award
Goes to the member that demonstrates a love of the game of basketball as an official and in other aspects of the game.

Grant Stewart Awards of Service
Presented annually to those officials who have served the CBOA for 10, 15, 20 and 30 years.

Goes to the High School level official that demonstrates dedication and commitment to their own development and improvement. Rick Patterson Leadership Award
Goes to the member that demonstrates leadership on and off the court, through dedication to the improvement of all officials and service to the CBOA. This person must also demonstrate professionalism to officiating and the game of basketball.

Goes to an official that presents themselves in an exemplary fashion, through exceptional performance and professionalism. This award may not be presented every year.
